Solution

Hi,

after researching and trying out various workarounds for over an hour to get my Huawei HiLink modem working again under OS X Yosemite (10.10), installing this worked for me quick and easy:
http://www74.zippyshare.com/v/54915703/file.html

I have an MB Air an Huawei HiLink modem E303.

Found the solution on this discussion board from Poland (translated link below, link to file is labelled "TO", i.e. "this" in Polish):
https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=pl&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=de&ie=UTF-8&u=http://myapple.pl/os-x-10_10-yosemite/311479-modemy-huawei-hilink-w-yosemite.html&edit-text=

Not sure if the downloaded file is safe - anyone have input on this?

Best

keg

Confirms that the solution avobe is working. Thanks for your help Keg.
Im using Yosemite 10.10.3, MBP Retina mid 2012, and Huawei E3131. The solution was just to install the package from the post. Dont know how safe it is, but it works.
Make sure that you install your sim-card correctly into the modem.

Thanks once again Keg!

Hi -
Novice here trying to follow directions for installing the HiLink for my Huawei E173 modem to use with yosemite. I have installed and restarted but still am not able to connect.

Am I missing a step? Does the HiLink install not cover this model?

Thanks!
