oh come on i can dream right? how cool would a 30 be?! what if i had said in 2003 "how cool would a 24" imac be!? with a 250gb hd, dvd burner and at least 2.0mhz g5!"
i'm sayin' 30", 1tb hd, 8gb ram, 3.5mhz quad core, blu ray and led lcd
in 3 years i'll be looking for an oled wall mountable imacwith a cord to a ipod size cpu with similar advancments haha
I'm looking at getting a 24" iMac as well. Here in Canada the current prices reflect how strong our dollar was last summer. If the new Macbooks are any indication the new iMac will be priced $200 more expensive thanks to the weakness of our dollar now.
In addition, there are some good refurbs available. Does anyone know if Apple readjusts refurb prices to account for currency changes? For example, the top end iMac is $1999 refurbished. Will that same machine be more expensive when the new iMac gets a price adjusted for our currency?
Now I got an offer for a Macbook Pro 2.4 model, the price is 1400 EUR. I would take it immediately, but it does not come with a receipt and so the warranty is only valid in US (I live in Slovenia). Can I later still buy an AppleCare and apply it without receipt?
I decided to buy the 24 inch refurb. Canada is definitely going to get higher prices with the refresh, and I'm not willing to spend $2100 when I can get this refurb for $1650 CAN. At the current exchange, that's $1345 USD for the 2.8ghz model, shipped from Rancho Cordova, CA just like the US macs.
