I would say no. It makes no sense putting on apps that won't work... We want a working PowerPC mac ;) put PPC media center instead of MacTubes
That's what I thought. OK, I won't put up broken apps.
[doublepost=1472069355][/doublepost]Another question: what do you think I should put on top of the actual app? Right now, I think I've got Featured, Categories, and New Apps. Anything else I should put there (or take out)?

Really don't know... maybe an information section where you explain the reason you made this app, or a games section if you want to put this section apart from the apps section, or also a "top rated apps" but this should also need a change to the market since it would require a rating app system... there are a lot of things you could put there :)

I would try not to overdo the amount of software in certain sections of the app... Try to keep the essential section short and sweet, like including a web browser, media player, and music service.

I don't have an app rating system, but I do have a way to write reviews. Maybe apps with good reviews could have a section?
[doublepost=1472134976][/doublepost]If I'm lucky, there should be a public beta out tomorrow! :) If not then, I'll have one out in 2 days for sure!

Amazing! Thanks a lot for making this app! Anyway i think an app review section is as good as a top rated One :)

OK, there's going to be a "Best Reviewed" section or something like that in the app.
[doublepost=1472157309][/doublepost]For searching, I've decided to put little search boxes on the bottom of every page. However, it's not too late to change that if someone else has a better idea. I could put a search button on top of the app that would take you to a search box.

So, I was just finishing up the app today, and I ran into some problems with searching. Should I release a public beta without a way to search apps, or should I take the extra time and put a working search feature in?

maybe it is better releasing it when this feature is working... really like this idea, it was very difficult for me to find all the apps I needed when a few years ago i received this MDD

It is really a great idea to get this up and running!
May I wonder how you link to the app downloads / screenshots / descriptions within this Market? Via their own site, on your own server or something else?

I'm hosting all of the webpages that will make up the Market on a free web hosting service (freewebhostingarea.com) and all of the applications are going to be hosted on Google drive. My biggest problem with the Market is that it isn't easy to get downloading to work on the older framework, so to download an app, you have to drag a link to your browser's dock icon. So, at the moment, the Market is only for finding PPC applications, not downloading them. I hope to change this in the future.

OK, I'm trying to get the search feature to work and the beta should be out tomorrow (hopefully).
[doublepost=1472239191][/doublepost]I just got the searching to work and now I'm doing a few tests and then I'll upload everything! Expect to see a public beta very soon!

I'm pretty excited; can't wait to see this thing come out!

The first public beta release of the Leopard Market is out! You can get it at http://leopardmarket.eu5.org/ !
I have a few things to say about it:
In the future:
A customizable toolbar where you can put any Category page you want.
Better looking buttons (maybe)

Over time, you will see some app pages get changed. I hope to add screenshots and recommendations to every app page, and those will get added one page at a time. Some pages will have those features, some will not. Right now, every page has just an icon, description, reviews, and some other details.
There may also be some problems. The app itself is very stable, but the webpages it is based on may have little problems in them (no formatting, links that go to the wrong place, etc.). Please report these problems by emailing them to leopardmarket96@gmail.com.
I hope you enjoy the Leopard Market!

Don't worry, Tiger users! I will make a Tiger Market in the future and I promise it will be done by the end of 2016! It's not in progress now, but it will happen!

Looking forward to it. I'm going to try the Leopard Market the next time I boot a G4 into Leopard. All of my G4s (except my G4 Pismo) boot both Tiger and Leopard, and I usually run Tiger on them unless I am doing something that needs Leopard.

Just wanted to say it looks good, I know I was a bit pissed about it at first but it looks like it is coming along nicely.

Yeah, I can understand. That's "your baby" there, sort of. That said I'm glad the work is being done, that you have come to be OK with it, and yeah, you definitely need to be credited in the work IMO. :)
