I upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.3 today. The Continuity Tool 2.0 was showing everything was ok. However, in looking at "About Mac," I saw that Handoff was showing as not supported even though it was recognizing I had a BTLE card. I went through the uninstall / install process and everything is working as it should be.

For people using the Continuity tool, uninstall and then reinstall the tool after upgrading Yosemite.

Does the continuity tool work for new macs that actually support the features?

New Macs that already have the correct hardware installed for the Yosemite features, should not have to use the Continuity Tool.

I don't think the issues are related to older macs vs new. Mine has had the issues on and off since 10.10.2

A couple of weeks ago handoff and continuity suddenly started working for me. Just like when it stopped working, I have no idea why.

Im on 10.11 Beta 6 and airdrop works fine, but handoff / instant hotspot are no go. I tried deleting my keychains for handoff/continuity, but that doesnt seem to have fixed it either, even with a reboot and log out/log in of icloud.
Any thoughts? Wait for 10.11 RC?
