I already own a macbook and iPhone. I think the concept of the iPad is amazing but don't feel like I need one. Why should I buy one? Convince me!!

What am I Missing?????

no I won't.... but you might wish to search and see what others have been told after asking the same question.

my god. We are not sales people here.
either you want to buy one or not.

Why do people have to be convinced to buy something ?

Convince me to stop what I'm doing to respond to your demand.

This has to be one of the most annoying recurring topics on this board.

If you are not passionate about it don't get it, one more ipad in the store for a devotee to buy

If you need anyone here to convince you, you're not worthy of an iPad. There isn't enough as it is to go round those that truly desire it. For that reason, don't even bother.

if you need convincing, you don't need to buy one.

You buy an Ipad because you WANT one, its that simple. Dont try to justify it.

I love mine, did i need it, NO, but I can afford the things I want.

I second the "go try one" comment. I wasn't convinced until I actually tried one. I must admit though that I really didn't "need" one. As with most gadgets like this it's more of a want than a need. Although I must admit that having access to O'Reilly's Safari books online any place any time via my iPad is very helpful to my job since I'm a software engineer. So, this one of the ways I tried to convince myself that I actually "needed" an iPad.

ask us such a question like that to ask us to convince you and we will only tell you not to get one. either you really want one or you really don't if your asking to be convinced. if you see no reason then don't buy one.

for what its worth, i'm buying...sorry have bought an ipad to use in my house. i have an iphone for use outside my house and i need my macbook to sync iphone/ipad and will only use it for syncing and creating things whereas ipad is to consume it.

You don't need one but you will find yourself using it more than your iPhone and your Macbook. It's an excellent "appliance" for every day use and the display quality is wonderful.

The only way to really find out if you need one in your life is to buy it and use it for a number of days. If you don't like it, you can easily sell it or simply take it back to the store.
