Alright ladies and gents. Android users everywhere!

I'm a iOS user...and I have been since 2010. I've been using iOS since 4.2 and for a year Windows Phone...but...we don't talk about that. Horrible Days. Dark Days. I've LAUGHED in the face Android. Ever since I first saw an Android phone was an HTC Evo Shift. Running Android 2.3, the fugly design just made me go for Windows Phone. (There was no iPhone in Sprint back then) But now ever since ICS and with those Google phones. Nexus 4 running PURE GOOGLE ANDROID no HTC Sense, No TouchWiz. Just Pure Google. Its been catching my eye. And I can remember...after the announcement of Android 4.2 and Google Now I said to my friend "Nexus 4...Android 4.2. Google Now...Oh Lord. You've broken me Google." So ever since then I've soften up towards Google. I started using Google services and keeping my eye on Android since that day. Now with iOS 7 being unveiled I think I started moving more back towards iOS but a part of me is wanting to go to Android. The Nexus 4 is a well designed phone and so is the system. Its sexy!

But I need help. I want you all to convince me. Tell me WHY I SHOULD jump ship from iOS to Android and should I wait for the next Nexus phone.

Give me pros and cons. Convince me. Convince an iOS user to go the Android side.

It's late in the east coast but dude just take look at the forum; there's tons of material and resources to get a general idea what android offers. If you wanna research some more check out XDA-Developers, there's tons of good info in those forums.

I was in your shoes 6 months ago and I went with the Note 2 and love it. The one thing I do regret is not getting a pure android phone. Other than that, Note 2 is awesome when you root it and install a custom ROM.

Truthfully, it's going to take a lot from iOS 7 to bring me back to iPhone--including a bigger screen.

I'm getting a Samsung GS4 (i9505, not GE) in a few days, and the first thing I'll do is root, nuke TouchWiz and put CyanogenMod 10.1 on it. Then I'll replace the stock battery with a ZeroLemon (along with the TPU back).

Can't do any of these with Apple phones without jailbreaking and major modifications, and I used iOS since mid-Oct 2011.

One thing I criticize about Samsung phones (some) is the over sized screen. Like have you seen the Galaxy Note 8...I know its not a phone in the US but it is in Europe apparently. THAT is like over done with the screen size. All I want is a decent screen size. 4 inches or probably 5 inches. Thats it.

I hate to be that guy, but our opinions about Android and iOS should not be the deciding factor on your next phone/OS. Its really something you have to experience yourself. Best way to do this is test one out at a wireless store. If you feel comfortable enough from there, buy an Android phone and test it out for 2 weeks before you have to make a decision and keep it or return it to a carrier. I know this post wasn't really what you were looking for but just because one person loves an OS doesn't mean the next person will.

Just test out an Android phone and see if you like the openness and way Android does things.

I hate some of those themes. Like TouchWiz its not as sexy as the stock Android interface. Its simple, nice and just plain sexy.

I don't get why one would criticize a company for offering choices. So what if the Note 8 can be used as a phone? If someone wants to then so be it. I personally never would but that's me.

And you seem to have pretty much made up your mind about most things so I doubt anyone is going to convince you of anything.

I don't think we should convine you or talk you into a change like that. This should be a decision you make willingly...not something everyone has to talk you into doing. If you are not excited and enthused about making this kind of change you will eventually not be happy with the change.....

Seriously though. No ones going to convince you to do anything. Do your own research and see whether Android fits your needs. Random people on the internet can't do that for you.

As someone with both iOS and Android devices, go into a store and play with which Android device you interested in.

Not true......look around at the forum.......we help everyone......But it is the way in which you proposed your switch to Android. Like it is anyones job to convince you to switch.......then you want to know what sucks about Android? C'mon now.........do some research....ask the right questions.....read the other threads of people that switched from IOS to Android. If you need help with something be humble and just ask......

My recommendation is to try it. The OS strikes people differently so make sure wherever you buy there is a liberal return policy when the next device is available you are interested in.

Some have tried it enough to know they wanted to go back to iOS in a heartbeat. Me? I like my iPad Mini and HTC One combo.

It was late last night so I didn't want to get into a 'Pros and Cons' discussion about Android.

Whacky, all I can tell you is, just switch over and test out Android for two weeks. I personally think you won't regret it.

And for everyone who's suggesting to go to local retailer and play with the phone; personally, I feel you need about two weeks to really get a feel for the device, not just an hour or two.

Once you realize everything you can do with an open OS, it's hard to go back to iPhone.

So, go for it and let us know how you like it.

Me too. It's really hard to use soooooo much bigger screens. I'm also contented with a 4" screen. What's important is the processor right?

I'll tell you what, once you go big screen, it's extremely hard to go back to 4" screens.

Whenever I hold an iPhone now, it's too small for me since I got my Note 2.
