Well I have decided to keep my Lumia 1520 - and I have been offered a Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 very cheap €220 so will get that to pad out my missing apps :D (was going to get Moto X but thats €350 and can't justify the extra for a spare handset.)

Question now related to the Lumia 1520 and other Lumia's in general.

Anyone experience weird bugs such as screen going 8bit color style requiring a quick toggle of power button and re-waken to correct, or the odd keyboard glitch where in direct sunlight it looks kind of freaky as if the light sensor is going on a bender ?

The only common bug I know of is related to the odd touch input. i.e. you go to swipe and the phone thinks it is a touch. Have not heard or seen what you are describing.

Must try and capture a screen next time. It happens when you knock to come on - only occasionally though.

Yes, I've had the color inversion issue a few times. If you leave it alone and try to use the phone, sometimes it refreshes itself after a few seconds. Not sure what triggers it but since it clears up quickly it's never bothered me.

Yeah I've found a simple press power standby button and then reawaken it sorts it and it takes less than a second or two to fix - but yeah its a strange one. Hope they release a fix :)

I'm debating whether or not to put you on the ignore list....nah. Actually not worth it.
