Why would anyone buy a computer with 128gb? Between the OS, programs, and media, it would be filled up in a day....

Windows 10 Pro takes up ~22GB so Windows 10 Home is even less and MS Office Pro Suite less than 2GB so there's about 100GB left. A student with basic requirements can even get away with the 64GB version which is still double the storage of the equivalently priced iPad 32GB. And, as others have mentioned storage can be supplemented with 400GB+ SD card.

iPads use AR and imaging technology to accurately measure blood loss during surgery. I use an iPad to create multimedia presentations for Ph.D. level professionals like myself, etc., etc.

If you read educational journals and research, as I do, you would know that costs and ease of managing users at scale drove Chromebook adoption. The 2018 iPad and the accompanying software tools were an attempt to address that.

People are free to say they don’t care for a certain form factor, and that’s fine. Looking to denigrate the choices of others to justify your own choices or the technology you are comfortable with is really just trolling.
I wouldn't waste time typing this stuff out - most of what OP says is completely false and he has a reputation for it. Some people are just too far gone

Hmm , don't know what you have on yours but I have the first gen Yoga 11S with 128 GB and I have plenty of space left on it. So i raise my hand of who would buy one. Not to mention it has expansion on it for a Micro SD.

The Surface Go is cool but its too small for my liking. If i get one its gonna be more for laptop purpose so id prefer to have the 12" Pro. But never say never, who knows.

For $399, you get 4GB RAM, 64GB of eMMC storage, and Windows 10 Home. An extra $50 upgrades to Windows 10 Pro, and an extra $150 upgrades to 8GB RAM and a 128GB NVMe SSD. The review systems all seem to have been the 8GB/128GB configuration; this means that their storage, in particular, will be considerably quicker than the base 4GB/64GB version. Microsoft has plans to introduce a version with integrated LTE and 256GB storage, but there's no price or availability for these just yet.

At least this doesn't have the slow storage.

New deal starts tomorrow. $999 for the 2017 Surface Pro 15, 8Gb, 256 Gb, plus the black keyboard. Opportune timing for me as I just decided last week to trade in my iPad and switch over to the Surface Pro due to school and work things that are limited to Windows.

While I'm very much a Mac guy, I'm stuck on Windows for work -- like most people. I gave the Surface Pro 3 a solid test run when it first came out. Unfortunately this was during the Windows 8 days... Didn't make that great of a tablet (nothing was finger-friendly) and didn't do that well as a laptop (hot and poor battery life).
I got suckered with the Surface 2 (mostly useless). Then I get to the Surface Pro 4 and it's done real well for me for my Windows 10 needs. Nice keyboard and tablet features as well. I've had it for about a year now and hope to use it for a long time to come. It's mainly my travel machine. At home, I use a MBA and an iMac.

With the Surface Go in the news, I've dusted off my SP3, made sure everything software-wise is updated, and I'm giving it yet another test run. It's been a couple days of substantial use and it's doing ok. Managed to solve at least one of the battery killers by disabling the Windows indexing service. Seemed to be getting stuck and driving up the CPU above 50% continuously.

Does a nice job with OneNote, an app I use a lot. Drawboard is of course great. And the mobile version of Word does a good job with inking up Word files (without converting to PDF for Drawboard or importing into OneNote).

My iPad is still way more finger-friendly and I'm still struggling to find a definite advantage to the SP3. There's a few things of course, like a system-wide file system, but with iCloud Drive, my iPad actually does just fine (a few extra steps occasionally, but there's other things the iPad does faster, too, so it evens out).

But I'll keep going with the SP3 some more to see if the Surface Go, or even a (yet to be announced) Surface Pro 2018 might be better than the upcoming new iPad Pro.

Where in that auction description does it say it includes the keyboard? The photos say that Pen and Keyboard are sold separately.

This is Surface Go only too.

Everything is sold separately but the discount applies to the whole order including accessories. For example, $550 Surface Go 8GB/128GB plus $130 Alcantara Type Cover = $680 - 15% = $578 so $28 over Costco deal or less without tax for double the DRAM and premium keyboard material.

I was thinking about waiting for the new Mac Book but this is very tempting.

I would prefer a windows device that I can use Office 365 on (its better than the Mac equivalent), pay bills and manage it in excel
