I bought a Blackberry q10 but am concerned whether or not

A) people still have text messaging plans now that iMessage is so popular and

B) if they would stop texting me if I am no longer able to use iMessage after making the switch

I have a Passport. It has BBM, so I did not even bother to check the rest.

It can be a conversation topic.

Social suicide
BBM is avaliable for:

- BlackBerry
- Android
- iOS
- Windows Phone
- And it might work on other Android forks or runtimes because it is available on the Amazon Appstore too.

So y'all think not having iMessage might be an impediment?

Someone might say "I don't want to pay per text message so I think I'll avoid texting them..."
