Thanks for getting back to me. I suspect many people have the same sort of issue we do, most don't seem to know about backlight bleeding. Mine is generally fine too otherwise, and given how bad it could be, I'll try to deal with it. BTW, if this was a Dell, they'd all be replaced without question. Been there, done that.
