I was wondering if there's any reason that the top half of the app is a frame, while the keyboard is full size -- why not have the whole thing be full screen? Is there any design/functionality reason that I'm missing?

And on a side note, I installed activator and I'm using the swipe up on left side of screen from anywhere to activate QC in couria -- it's great...thanks for the activator tip guys.

Probably because it's the quick compose/reply window is an overlay. Maybe give the dev the suggestion if you really want it to be full screen (but I doubt that'll get implemented; I think full screen would give the impression it's not quick reply/compose but rather opening the messages app)

A smaller keyboard would be harder to type on, wouldn't you agree?

Does the Couria WhatsApp extension work with Activator for anyone?

If you mean an Activator action for Couria Whatsapp Quick-Compose, then "yes". In Activator you choose your action and then pick which QC (Messages or Whatsapp, if installed) you want THAT action to do.

I have different statusbar actions set up for each. iPhone 5.

It's doesn't work for me. This is what I did: Settings->Activator->At Home Screen->Triple Press-> Currently Assigned to: Couria/WhatsApp.

When I press the home button three times, nothing comes up. But it works for Messages.

EDIT: Never mind. I didn't know that I must enable 'Keep WhatsApp Running' in Couria. It's working now.

just tried. works on iphone 5s. although there are cons. on lockscreen the animation is weird for quickly replying whatsapp, and the app has to open in order to work.

You would know that it's Couria by still having the messages icon in the top left corner and the close button in the top right -- that would differentiate it right there.

did I say something wrong?

You said full screen would give the impression that it's the messages app.

I'm saying the differentiator would be that instead of saying "< Messages" in the top left as it would in the stock app, it would have the icon and instead of saying "Contact" in the top right, it would say "Close" or "Cancel".

oh yes, but at first glance, it would look like the stock messages app

What's the problem? You're the one that's activating it, so you should know what's going on...no?

i never said there was a problem. i was just giving my thoughts that why it isn't going to get implemented

the real problem i had was when the person said that the keyboard is full size but the frame isn't: i said a smaller keyboard would be harder to type

Haha.

The UI is not proper for iOS 7 yet, what's up with that? :D

Anyways, seems like a cool tweak.

Didn't mean the keyboard should be smaller to match the top...meant the other way around, which is why I've been rooting for it.

Thank you all for this, as I was having the same "issue". Also, by having WhatsApp in the background all the time, does it drain the battery too much? I mean, since it'll be running all the time and it usually "connects" to check online status too.

This tweak didn't work very well on my 5, but it works great on my 5s. I just wish it had a notification icon in the status bar like bite does. I got so used to seeing the bubble. Now after my phone has been on silent or I leave it in another room I have to look at the notification center to see if I have any texts. Not a big deal, I know it's petty, but just hard to get used to after have bitesms for so long.

Is there a way to activate the quick compose without installing activator? I don't like activator.

Anyone having an issue when you get a notification (banner) the animations lag? It happens every time and I'm trying to see if its this tweak or another tweak I'm using

for me, the animation lag happens with tinybar

do you have that installed?
