That is nothing. In California we are just now getting over a record breaking heat wave. During the day it was as hot as 113 in Northern California and at night we were lucky if it dipped below 85. So far in Sacramento, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin Counties about 30 people have died from the heat in the past 10 days.

I was happy to see today's forecast and it was 105.

Yes my daughter was telling me about this today..
Its very disturbing really.
Global warming anyone?

yeah warming up here too. about the same temps until wed.
its going to feel as if i'm in hell already. at least i'll be prepared.

I don't care so much about the heat, but as a side effect, I'd driven 10 hours through rain storms yesterday. Still, it was only truly bad around Philadelphia.

I'm 44 and I remember a string of 20 days with a heat index of 100 or more back in the mid 90's which seems worse than what's going on now in my area but the weather seems much more ominous these days. The weather has been wildly erratic for a few years now? and if it's just some cycle I hope it ends soon. If it's global warming I guess I need to accept and get use to the changes???

PS. I hate mild winters.

*Leans back even further and falls off of his chair while enjoying the overcast day and upcoming weekend of clouds and rain, nice break from the hot weather* :)

Well here's one Californian who's not suffering greatly. Yesterday was like 85, today we're looking at maybe 80. Been getting a nice bit of morning and evening fog to help take the edge off the heat.

And I'm BBQing for friends tomorrow, so lets hope this gorgeous weather continues!

I actually like the hot weather. Well, normally at least. This weekend I get to install attic stairs in my garage, so when it's 98 outside, it will be about 120 in the attic.

Woohoo.

Make sure you have the right tool for the job:

Oh yeah... that sounds great.

Don't die, okay?

I'll take that off my list of to-do's this weekend. :p

Besides, if I equip myself as mactastic suggests, then I should be okay. Although I may not use Busch. :D

Ill take 95 and humid over 20 and 2 feet of snow any day.
I'm the exact opposite. When I'm cold, I can always start a fire, or put on a sweater or blanket. When I'm hot and sweating (and in my underwear  ) there's little more I can do to be comfortable.

Cold > Hot (Mind you, I don't like being cold, either)

This is why I love seasons. I'd hate to live somewhere tropical where it's either hot + wet or hot + dry. Gimme spring, summer, autumn and winter and I'll be happy. Admittedly, I spend summer in the pool though.

I love the hot weather. I wish it was 100 up here in Washington. But I go to California in 2 days so I am pumped for the hot weather. I still want to go to Death Valley in the middle of summer.
