Oh yeah. Forgot to answer this one. I personally see very little point in hiding the SSID, so MAC address filtering is enough. You can combine access control with an encryption scheme, and unless you've got trade secrets or nuclear codes, that's safe enough. Disabling SSID broadcast just makes it annoying if you wander too far out of range, it makes it annoying when you go from place to place, and most importantly, anyone who needs an SSID to hack your network isn't good enough to hack it in the first place.

It's like setting your computer's name to blank. Your computer is still there, still visible via IP, and still working. You just can't see it to select it, because the name is blank. It's an inconvenience to the user and not a security enhancement.
