Completely agree with that statement! I assume your fan isn't running full speed? I made some other changes (some inadvertent) when installing the SSD and I'm wondering if there's something else going on.

Have you done an SMC reset? you might have messed with some cabling somewhere.

I've been running my M4 with TRIM for over a year and it hasn't even so much as blinked. No fan noise, no glitches or freezes, and no speed drops. Has worked equally well with SL, Lion and ML. Have also ran ALL the firmware updates with zero issues.

I'm only annoyed that the amount i paid for it can today be used to buy the 512GB version (i have 256GB). *sigh*

Now that I've been running with the M4 for a few weeks, I'm still having the issue with the fan, but I've developed a way to "fix" it so it's not always running at full speed. I'm using smcFanControl to limit the speed, increasing/decreasing when needed.

The SSD (knock on wood) has been a great upgrade as has moving the HD to the optical bay. The system is much faster than it was before the upgrade.
