The Land of Hope and Glory
I was told that my computer was an iMac G5. It's an intel based mac, and it's been driving me nuts. Thanks for your help.

Actually its not an Intel based mac if it is a G5. The G5 was a PPC processor made by Motorola / IBM. If you had an Intel based mac it would be called something like a Core Duo or Core 2 Duo, they are the only Intel CPUs that have been used in the iMac as far as I can remember.

I'm not trying to be a smart arse, I'm just trying to help you avoid any future misunderstandings by thinking that a G5 iMac is an Intel iMac when in fact it is not.

CS2 is boozingly slow on my mac pro. I still use it if I really need it but prefer to boot to windows and run cs1 for most of my heavy photoshop work. Still waiting on ADOBE ub's

BTW I have 4gb of ram

Well, well.

Looks like I got banned for using a certain word to imply that some of the respondents on this thread were beyond sarcastic, and most certainly not helpful.
