Actually its not an Intel based mac if it is a G5. The G5 was a PPC processor made by Motorola / IBM. If you had an Intel based mac it would be called something like a Core Duo or Core 2 Duo, they are the only Intel CPUs that have been used in the iMac as far as I can remember.
I'm not trying to be a smart arse, I'm just trying to help you avoid any future misunderstandings by thinking that a G5 iMac is an Intel iMac when in fact it is not.
CS2 is boozingly slow on my mac pro. I still use it if I really need it but prefer to boot to windows and run cs1 for most of my heavy photoshop work. Still waiting on ADOBE ub's
