iPad Air Current shipping time for iPad Air 2020 from Apple?

glad to hear. hoping your #2 and mine hit "preparing to ship" tomorrow.
I ordered mine from Apple Dec 10. Expected first week in January. Blue Air. Tried BB, but unknown delivery date for the blue. This is a problem. I was unaware that AppleCare requires the IPad, Magic Keyboard, and Mouse be on the same receipt for AppleCare to cover them. I bought mine within 3 days of each other, the keyboard at BB, and the IPad and Mouse at Apple. After calling Apple, I was told if I call, after receiving my Air, and explain the situation, they may consolidate and cover all three. They need my S/N before they can do anything. Otherwise, I will cancel my orders. I took a $ 170 trade in on my heavily used 2016 IPad Pro 9.7 inches. I have to ship my trade, before I get the new IPad. I need that s/n to ask Apple to combine everything. If they won’t, and I return the IPad, what happens to my $ 170 credit!surprised to not find an active order thread here but maybe all of the early adopters and diehards have gotten theirs
i ordered mine on Dec 3 for teaching (EDU store) and was told delivery Dec 15-18. i was a little surprised at that estimate but it seems Apple doesn't have the stock that some of the retailers have (it appears to be in stock at other places). it's still stuck in processing even though the Apple Pencil 2 i ordered at the same time has already arrived.
anyway, i was curious if any recent purchasers can give an estimate if whether this time frame i have been given is correct? this is actually for work, but i was hoping to get it set up for teaching in January before the holidays set in (hoping to take some time off and not think about work), so i am hoping it will come on the early side of that estimate, but the lack of movement on my Order Status page has me a bit concerned.
[by comparsison, i ordered a new MBA M1 for my wife, and it arrived 5 days before the original estimated time window]
A warning. There are a lot bad articles, Imore is an example, that don’t realize you need need to purchase all items on the same receipt.
Mine changed to "Preparing to Ship" this morning. Probably it arrives sometimes in early next week which same as estimated delivery date.
as expected and entirely consistent with everyone else's experiences here, mine is out for delivery today. it actually shipped from a southern CA location yesterday, so i am assuming Apple is distributing these through different hubs around the US (for US customers).
May I know shipped by UPS, Fedex or something else? Just curious because I am in also Southern CA.

Thanks. I just received email with shipping information enclosed. Mine says shipped by UPS and will be delivered on 12/18. Finally!
glad to hear...i guess they have multiple locations...surprised yours didn't come from SoCal (i'm in NorCal), but i hope you get yours today and enjoy it.
Got mine today. Ordered on 27 November, the original estimated delivery date was 16 December. I got upset when UPS was inaccurately showing it as sitting in Hong Kong for over a week and pushed the estimated delivery date to 17-22 December. The UPS package progress page finally updated yesterday showing the iPad was in Nashville, TN and would be delivered by end of day today. This is the first time I went for the free engraving, will skip that next time.
ordered mine in rose gold on December 22 through the edu apple site. says it should be here by Jan 8
so its Jan 9 and it hasn’t shipped..first time ive ever seen apple NOT ship earlier or at the estimated date.
i did see one was available for pick up near me so i went with that option
I ordered an iPad Air, Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil 2 from Best Buy today and it was available for pickup after an hour.
I am confused as to why these were out of stock for so long. I’m guessing apple released a new batch out

my coworker said she saw them at costco last week and iirc, two weeks ago they were sold out everywhere in socal. i mean best buy, target, walmart, apple stores (which actually have been closed in all of california for a while now.) quite annoyed as i needed this ipad for school but fingers crossed it ships soon...

but fingers crossed it ships soon...I ordered two iPad Airs over the Xmas holiday. Both of the units arrived on time but towards the middle to end of the delivery date range. You should be good since you are only on the first day of the delivery window. As far as Costco goes, my nearest one here in the Dallas area has not had the new Airs in stock for a few weeks now. happened to me!ordered from the edu site on the 23rd and was given a Jan 8-15 window. By Jan 9th it was still processing but I saw apple received stock to pick up which wasnt an option for weeks! So i cancelled and picked it up insteadfound myself here to see if anyone's in the same situation as me, kinda sad to confirm it

ahhh see all my best buy's and costco's show it as available for purchase with at least 2 weeks time for delivery/pick up
all the apple stores in socal appear closed still as well so i'll stay patient!
