love that picture, possible to get it a bit lighter though? like lilac lol? i figured text would look kind of hard to read on a color that dark.

i made a light version trying to get the other purple i dont know if its what ur looking for but try it out.

Try this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6688660/iphone-fixpng_en.zip

This is what I use on windows. Unzip the folder and place the pngs from the phone in the folder named "png". Then run "iPhoneFixPng.exe" and the fixed pngs should be in the "Fixed" folder.

I can't remember where I got this from but it's pretty awesome.

thanks for posting this.
i've used it to successfully open and edit the standard retina display sms bubbles to my own colour.
i've noticed, however, when sending text messages, the bubbles jitter and 'skip frames' when sending and i can only assume that it is because the .png files aren't encoded properly for fast rendering.

apple has encoded the .png bubbles for fast rendering.
the iphonefixpng program alters the files to be viewable and editable .. i then changed the colour of the bubbles through photoshop.
how do i 'un-alter' what iphonefixpng does to revert the files back to the way that apple has encoded for fast rendering?

Look for a console app on cydia called pincrush which is a small command-line utility that claims to optimize PNGs just like Apple does. There's another called pngcrush which is a bit more complicated; pincrush should do what you need just fine. As always, back up your stuff beforehand. :D

Iv been trying to get grey bubbles on the sending side and pink on receiving side... if the side matters but i would lik a grey and bright pink if possible please
