Ohhhh You know I just have to say how much I love apple... I dont have my MBP yet, but man I love apple... These dock things are so sweet! Like the creativity and detail that these little pictures of the programs just shows how much Apple and its followers are proud and stand behind their Computers...

Stupid windows...

You can theme Windows.

Oh thats cool looking.

Two things: Where did you get those dock icons those are crazy. And can you post a Picture of what you mean by launching everything by quicksilver.

For Quicksilver see: http://quicksilver.blacktree.com/

Basically it is a small program that lets you quickly launch apps or other tasks from the keyboard. Handy for some, but not used by everyone.

For icons just google "os x icons" and poke around.

How do you do that!??
I want to know for when I get My mac, BTW can you tell me the links to where you got it??

Cleardock & text icons are the only things that are done with the dock. I aligned it to the left with Onyx (you can do it with cocktail too). To the right of the trashcan or konfabulator widgets, iTunes Bar, widescapeTimeSerializer, widescapeWeather.widget, and then the thing showing album art comes with iTunesBar.

Text Icons // direct link

ClearDock

iTunes Bar // [skin : Transparent White; included]

widescapeTimeSerializer & widescapeWeather

the black bar at the bottom is part of the desktop, well actually I EDITED the desktop to have the black bar, which is just a black bar with a gradient in the top to make it look glossy.

align the dock to the left with TinkerTool, Cocktail, or Onyx.

I know you can but it never looks like anything like OS X does... XP doesn't even feel sleek and sweet like OS X does even if I got some themes for it...

thank you :)

I've been on Macrumors, but i'm still a Newb to the whole new Mac thing so could you explain somethings to me.

Is that finder on the far left? and Why is it colored that way?

What are the other icons you have. Tiger thingy, and Dog thing, and I suppose (dont laugh) the thing to the right of the finder thing.

I usually keep my dock hidden and use QuickSilver to launch everything... so my dock is pretty minimal:

not a problem, here's my dock with everything labeled.

finder looks like that because i used candybar to change the icon. i believe its possible to change the finder icon without candybar, but its really hard and i wasnt able to figure it out. trash and dashboard are other icons that are hard to change. the other ones are pretty simple.

if you have any other questions, dont hesitate to ask here or shoot me a pm.

you can remove quicksilver from the dock if you want. just go to quicksilver's preferences, then general, and uncheck "show icon in dock". you can put it in the menu bar if you prefer it there, but it will still run even if you dont have it in the dock or menu bar.

About the only thing custom about my dock is that it's clear, and I have neat Steve Jobs Mail icon.

How did you get the weather bar thing to give you more than just the current forcast?
