Yeah, that would have boosted their apple tv+ offerings, a clear whiff. There's a front page article about Apple's struggles with AI and losing talent to chatgpt.

Not to get too far OT, but Apple seems to be a management nightmare these days. Bleeding talent, delayed product releases and a good number of issues with iOS and macOS.

I think Apple has become an echo chamber of Tim Cook wannabes. The creative and innovative folks have been getting pushed out over the years and decades. Tim Cook's strength is operations but they've had enough brain drain that ithe cracks are starting to show

I will say their apple silicon division is a shining star in an otherwise bleak picture of innovation.

Yeah but it kind of underlies the problem with all these companies. Apple has amazing hardware, but the software is going through it right now. Microsoft has the same issue. Great hardware (both third party and Surface) and the software is also going through it right now.
