Which one is best? I installed both, but I don't like the fact that I need a license for the iphone3g recorder, but I do like the fact that I can email
my vids to anyone and upload to YouTube. Butwhich is a good recorder? I heard cyclorder will be updating soon so I'm not sure. What do you people think is the nest recorder???

iPhone3g recorder. I find the video tends to jump in cycorder, especially for the first few seconds.

The video quality seems better in 3g recorder however, though it's still decent, the sound quality is inferior to cycorder.

iPhone3g - Period. :)

Instantly upload to Youtube or email. The last thing I want to do is SSH into the phone to dig for files. The quality is good.

I like that about the iPhone3g recorder but what about the license, if I buy it and then I decide to do a fully restore and then rejailbreak my 3g will I loose my license?

Do you want to be able to be out & about, record a video and email it to someone with the touch of a button? iPhone3g. If you want to be out & about, record a video, then go home SSH into the phone, dig for it, pull it out, etc. etc. THEN email or upload to Youtube. Cycorder.

What about the license part if the iPhone 3g recorder?

well it really depends. iphone 3g recorder obviously has more features. cycorder is 'free' (adsupported) but it hasn't been updated in AGES. the developer saurik says he hasn't forgotten about it but it seems quite low on his priority list to bother with.

The license is a serial number. I've had videorecorder3g since it came out for the first gen iPhone. Every time I jailbreak, restore, whatever, I just reinstall the app and enter the serial. Works awesome for me. It also records mov OR mp4. mov files seem to look better IMO, but they take up more space and are temperamental when uploading to YouTube. That said, Cycorder is cool and free, he just hasn't released anything new regarding it in months. I prefer the videorecorder3g (iphone video recorder).

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)

Cycorder, you should not have to pay that much for an app on cidya...

Personally, I prefer Cycorder. It's free (if you don't mind the small ad), takes great quality video, and you can send the videos/upload them with other apps :)

the something is wrong with your phone, mine has never done that.

Exactly. I always thought cycorder should have this feature. Seems really lame that it doesn't. $20 is kinda expensive, but worth it IMO.

never tried the iphone3g recorder, but cycorder is pretty good

ssh is easy peasy, i rather take a little bit more time than spend 20 bucks
