I hate to bring this to you, but Fuji iso is not the same as sony iso.
I think sony iso160 is about the same brightness as fuji iso100.
You might want to check out a conversion chart.
Fuji also applies extreme processing to their in camera jpegs. There is some slang word for it that i can't recall atm.

Sorry but I'm already aware if that. Not enough to matter and had nothing to do with the grain itself.

As you might notice by re-reading what you just responded to, raw was in parenthesis in the same sentence.

So if anyone's interested or curious I went with the Nikon D810!! Incredible camera. I also picked up the Sigma 50mm f1.4 ART and Rokinon/Samyang 14mm f2.8 and Nikon 70-200 f2.8 (used).

I'm extremely happy with my decision. Before making up my mind I used the Sony a7mII for a day and didn't like it at all. I didn't like the view finder and it felt very slow to me. I also didn't care for how it felt in hand.

Now I just need to get out there and shoot ;)

Enjoy your camera. Looking forward to the results. Should be getting my D750 at the photography show this weekend.

Sounds like a nice setup. If you don't mind my asking, what led you to choose the D810? I'm assuming you decided to up your budget?

Yes I decided to increase my budget but I got lucky with 2 new clients I wasn't expecting.

I went with the D810 for a few reasons. First I prefer the dials/controls layout of the D810 over the D750. I also like the build of the D810. It's really built like a tank. For the photography I do I really wanted the 36mp sensor and the fact that it doesn't have the AA filter was also a pretty big reason to go with the D810 over the D750. All in all it just hit all the check boxes on my "wants" list.

Here are the first few photos I took with it. Literally about 2 hours after I bought it :)

Only the cityscape is on a tripod. All the others are hand held. I missed the focus on the Johnny Rockets pic but I still like how it came out. It was also pretty dark when I took that shot. Actually I was blown away by the low light performance of this camera.

I'll keep it simple. The Nikon D750 would be my choice. The D750 has a much better grip than the D610. Go to the store and try it out. Unless you have tiny hands and use your camera on a tripod all the time, the D750 is a lot more comfortable. The Tilt screen on the D750 is also EXTREMELY useful in real world situations. The Sony isn't even an option. The camera is almost as heavy as real DSLR and the lens are just a big and heavy as what you see on DSLRS. I will never understand what's the point of going mirrorless when when your camera and lens are as heavy as a DSLR. If I was going to go mirrors fuji has the best system right now. The lens are EXCELLENT and VERY light to compliment a lighter camera.

Obviously not... lol Congrats. I think it's a great camera except for the grip which I can't stand. You picked the right lens. Those new sigma's will get the most out of the resolution of the camera. But don't count of focus accuracy, it's okay at best. I know, I have them :) I don't remember exactly where I took the picture. I'll check my iphone to see if I took any pics on it that day so I can check the location.

Could it have been Jersey City or Bayonne?

What don't you like about the grip? For me, my hand fits perfectly and of all the cameras I held the D810 feels the best. The D750 was okay but it's a bit smaller and my hand didn't quite fit on the grip (height wise).
