Yep could of called but didn't really think about these selling out. I know of too many places with them in stock.

True, lol. But I meant that there are none near me besides these two Best Buys. Come to find out, the BB on the opposite end of the one I went to, had them in stock.

Seriously. I don't get why anyone would drive that distance without verifying stock first. No matter what the product. Especially something like this. I have to assume that you know the inventory issues that take place after every iPhone launch and why u would think that the iPad would have been different is beyond me.

I would call and if it is in stock have them pull one and put your name on it with a CC# to hold it, then drive like crazy, doing the speed limit of course, to go pick it up.

I for one would not suggest giving out a CC# to a random person on the phone at bb and then ask him to tape it to a box with my name and leave it on the counter in customer service where everyone can see it. Do that and when you go to pay for that iPad with that CC you'll get a big fat DECLINED!! Because someone maxed it out.

Except best buy would either put a reciept with the purchased product or hold it with a name and phone number... No credit card theft is going to take place

They can't run the card without it being present, believe me I asked and was told NO!!!! and from what was I was told from bb is they do not hold anything it is first come first server. The only way to do that would be to purchase online and select in store pick up, and since the iPad is not available for purchase online you can't do that.

Besides, I was just commenting on what was said, and that was give them your name and cc for them to put on the box and hold it for you.

I understand the logic but they most certainly can run your card over the phone. For an item like the iPad I can see not holding it, but if your local best buy won't don holds period rest assured that is a store policy not a company one

And true his comment would not be the smartest thing to do haha
