The iPads haven't come out yet, so you still have the option of waiting to see what the Macs are like...

I kind of doubt Apple will show off the new MBPs while new iPad Pro owners are within their return window (at WWDC) but I'd love it if they did.. Then I'd be able to choose easier between 11" iPad + 16" MBP vs. 12.9" iPad for my mobile workflow.

Gurman said in January that the MBPs were to be launched in the 'middle of the year' and M2 is apparently in production so I'm really hoping for a June announcement with a July launch. You know these are going to get event time so I guess my next hope after WWDC would be a virtual July event.

I want an iPad over a MacBook. And my recent use case made me want the 12.9 over my current 2018 11”. I mostly do some email, surfing, Flickr, Lightroom and MS Office apps. When I need to do more, I have an M1 Mini and a PC sitting on my desk at my office with Jump Desktop. So if I need “desktop” like usage, I just go over to Jump Desktop on my iPad and with the Magic keyboard, I have a trackpad and all. Then when I’m done and I want to do some reading or photo culling or whatever, I can take the ipad off the keyboard and sig on the couch. And my Apple Pencil doesn’t do much on my MacBook…
