well this needed a new thread as much as UPS needs the inundation of calls about iPads.

I can just imagine the reps in the office..

"Oh f'n great - Apple is releasing a new product early this month. Maybe I'll use vacation time to avoid the fanatics constantly calling for updates and to try and weasel an earlier delivery"

This reply was as needed as an ear right in the middle of my face.

I don't know why I am even bothering to reply and defend myself but I'm doing it anyway.
I know the website says April 3rd. I know UPS doesn't have to deliver it anytime specific on Saturday. I know I won't receive it before April 3rd....

But.....

I am really really really anxious to get mine. And when I see other posts of people saying that they called and were told their iPad would be delivered on Thursday, it makes me get even more anxious thinking there is a possibility that it could come early. All in all I just wish Saturday would hurry up and get here. I don't understand where all the hatred comes from where everyone thinks they have to reply with demeaning comments. Aren't you just as excited as I am for it? Sheesh, what is the world coming to when no matter what you post, you get bashed.

I'm sure everyone is just as excited and wants Sat to show up, but creating new threads along with a dozen other people about "UPS says....." whatever you post though, it is going to get some negative feedback.

Just as those who start multiple, redundant threads over and over without ever searching MR via Mroogle.

Bottom line, the iPad, as the iPhones are setup with the shippers as a "Special Delivery". Apple pays them to deliver them on a specific day and not before. Calling 10 different offices likely would get you 10 different answers as not everyone at UPS probably realizes the agreement and conditions this particular "package" has placed upon it.

MR crowd is full of people that will in fact bash you for no other reason than to create an argument. Just ignore em and move on, not worth the effort to fend off their trolling efforts. :)

If I were back in the states I would have mine by 1400 because that is the time that UPS makes deliveries to my house. Every time I have ordered something and it is sent UPS or FEDEX that is the time it arrives and USPS deliveries are about 1100.

But now I have to wait a week or two because I am in Japan and have to go through a forwarding company.
