I like this idea. So it would only be at most 30 min behind or ahead.Of course you could always set halfway between. I did that with a waterproof digital watch that proved far more difficult to set than it was worth. Since I only used it out on the water it was close enough for my needs.
I also don't generally worry about the camera's time. It has had some interesting side effects over the years. When I import images from an event such as Burning Man if the cameras aren't in sync it makes the Lightroom imports interesting. Likewise when I'm shooting a long exposure pano with two cameras it makes stitching the images a game of hide and seek. Not that I even bother under those situations. I just get confused for a bit when I'm editing.I am pretty sure if I go look right now, all of the cameras are on the wrong time. I just don't care about the accuracy of time. As long as the date is right.
Thanks for the Laugh.Oh, and it isn't just about adding or subtracting an hour...
Ah you need them in sync but not necessarily correct....I also don't generally worry about the camera's time. It has had some interesting side effects over the years. What's DST? I live in Arizona where we don't have to futz around with the time twice a year. It's called "civilization".
So I am not alone.
