Just reading the OP again, if the G3 iMac can burn CDs then I think you could find, burn and install Mac OS X Tiger as a CD set.

Just keep in mind that the Dual and Quad Core (11,2) G5s with two Ethernet ports require 10.4.2 as a minimum, otherwise if it had just one Ethernet port, any version of Tiger will install.

Before installing Tiger, create two or more partitions on your Mac so that you can install a few different systems. It’s a good idea to have a few options to reboot into in case you break things in one system. Once you have Tiger installed you could use Disk Utility to restore the Leopard install ISO onto an 8GB+ partition, then reboot into that to install a fresh Leopard system on a larger 20GB+ partition without having to buy and burn any DL DVDs.

I think it's true to say that we're generally a pretty friendly and tolerant bunch here, and love giving up our free time to assist others having difficulties.
However fwiw, here's my take on your post:
The very same day you posted your query, you added, "I seen no one has responded to this. Does anyone want to help me?"
Six helpful replies later, you posted again without even a word of thanks - ok its not mandatory, but certainly most encouraging to those who replied.
More help followed. Again, not even a meagre "thanks", but a somewhat stinging comment, "and has anyone seen this? its been like 4 hours".
To date you've received about 20 replies, still without a single word of thanks from yourself, which in my book shows a total lack of consideration. Am I old-fashioned? Perhaps, but methinks your attitude will be remembered in the future if you seek further assistance...........

Ironically, I couldn't help but notice that AphoticD specifically found the time to thank you for testing his "largely untested, free software". Kudos to a gentlemen!

I think you have to recalibrate to online etiquette - there's lots on the forum I would no way tolerate in real world but now I've learn't to shrug shoulders and ignore.
All the positivity on the forum outweighs the bad anyway :)

Fair comments.
Shrugging shoulders and ignoring - often a national characteristic in some locations - is something I find difficult, even virtually. As you rightly say, the positivity on the forum tends to largely outweigh the bad. :)

What I mean is the rules are different here - stand on principle and before you know it you're suspended or banned..you don't even get an option to fight your corner.

I've grown to believe there's little point arguing on the internet or even getting worked up about critics and a**holes IRL (even on the roads). There's enough real world chaos, which I'd rather not attract into my life, that is best left to the negative-news-pushers and common sheep.

At the very least (and I think it's been mentioned before), there are far fewer trolls and immature morons on this little patch of MR than found in the modern hardware boards and on many, many other forums/groups.

So, jumping online into this little corner of mostly positive and like-minded individuals passionately nerding out about old tech is, for some reason or other, something I am happy to be a part of. Regardless of any kind of gratitude or appreciation of what I waffle on about. :)

Am I old-fashioned?

Hey, don't worry. I'm old fashioned too, even if I'm about 65 years younger than you.

Let's both sit on rocking chairs and sleep.

...Ahh, delight...

EDIT: Now that I've had time to ponder this, I think CheeseBread might be a young 'un. They tend to be a little inconsiderate at times, and his grammar and punctuation seem about right for my hypothesis.

Depending on your version (Panther, Tiger or Leopard) there are a few minor differences, but this is generally how to go about it:

1. Boot from an installer disc.
2. Choose Disk Utility from the menu bar.
3. Click your drive in the left column.
4. Under the Partition tab you can select a new scheme e.g. 2 partitions.
5. If there is an Options button, click to confirm that “Apple Partition Map” is selected (Not GUID or MBR).
6. Resize your partitions to suit your needs.
7. Name your volume(s).
8. Choose the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format.
9. On a G5, you can uncheck the Install OS 9 driver option (if it exists.)
10. Click Apply to partition and format.
11. Close Disk Utility and continue to install the OS.

This. IRL, I'm as insular as they get due to my extreme impatience and intolerance for tyrannical mob-mentality automatons, which has caused some around me to mob up (at work, for instance); as hive minders do; and attempt to belittle me to "join up". I find most human social aspects of life abhorrent, so it never works, and it indicates to me just how single-minded we as useless flesh bags tend to be. However, I have finally learned, after 48 years on the planet, how to be a lot less vocal, impulsive, and impetuous about my disgust, and pick my battles. I've also learned, with regards to online forums, how to wade through the typical petty garbage and share insight (or "geek out", as AphoticD so eloquently put it) with others who share the same interests. After all, in the grand scheme of things, we're all here as flittering insects for a short time, and thinking about that can really focus one on what's important; namely personal happiness.

TL;DR- Ignore the oh-so-typical petty garbage and worry less about things that really aren't important to the happiness of you and yours, and you might learn something :)

Very well put. Interesting where this thread is going.

To summarize a quick guide to life:
1. Pick your battles (Don't sweat the small stuff)
2. Embrace your passion(s) and appreciate the things you enjoy.
3. Balance work, personal and family time.

The plan sounds simple enough, but it takes a thousand and one hard knocks to learn, can never truly be taught to another and is never perfected!

At least 5 times a day you will catch yourself out neglecting these simple points, but that's where it starts right?
