Iv got a pair of stuck pixels on my iMac, both in the same shade of green, one in the top right, one in the top left. They used to really really really bother me, but now I've learnt to live with them.

If you can return it, then do. I know I would want the perfect machine.

if I ever get a dead pixel on my iBook, iMac or MBP I will not stop calling until apple puts me on a ban list. no way I'll ever find one acceptable.

I have a tiny blue stuck pixel...

99% of the time...i dont notice it unless I look for it

Like most of the people here...i just learned to suck it up, it isnt the biggest issue in the word...Sucks that it ended up this way...but no biggie really

Send it back. That's what I did and got a replacement sent out that day. They'll do it cause they're pretty good to be fair with replacements. I basically just said that I wanted a replacement sent out straight away and they obliged. The guy on the phone was happy to let me get the replacement and agreed it was annoying. I had two dead pixels right near the centre of the screen which were red when white was over them so VERY noticable.

My girlfriend's MacBook has a stuck pixel. She only got it on Monday, so we're off to the Apple store on Saturday to see what they'll do about it. Just been trying the Stuck Pixel widget, but to no avail.

Oh, and for what it's worth, the english language originated in England. In England we write "realise" with an S, and I think you'll find that the original "colour" contained the U and it is you that have removed it! ;)

That is all. :)

as far as i can remember apple requires that you have something like 7 (maybe 5) dead pixels before they'll replace the screen. If you do try to return it you will get charged with a 15% restocking fee. Your best bet is to try to take it back and bitch and hope that the sales guy is a sucker. Otherwise you can try to fix it (if it's just a stuck pixel) with a program. I can't remember what it's called, but it basically flashes the screen a bunch which hopefully fixes things.
