Rocketing through the sky!

I've barely heard any stories of people "rubbing" a single dead pixel back to live, let alone three. Are you sure it wasn't just dust?

if you go to the dell site and look up "pixel" they have an answer that says you should try rubbing in small circles to fix it, which may or may not work. but on the Samsung website they say you cannot fix a discoloured pixel...strange...

But i think i may have fixed my little problem...knock on wood! i noticed that after the pb was asleep the pixel would work when i opened it up but would soon flicker red and be solid again soon after. However, i rubbed it then put it to sleep then when i woke it up i ran pixelmurder thinggy and a movie for 3 hours and now there is no dead pixel!! I turned the pb off for about an hour to cool it down and fired her back up and still no red pixel! so now i am running "finding nemo" full screen (it is the brighest most colour changing movie i have in the house) and am gonna let it cool down again after then try it again. Hopefully it all turns out grovvy (knock on wood again!!!)

Haha finding nemo won't work. The reason the other thing works is because it calls to the pixel so fast that it "whacks" it back into shape and teaches it who's boss.

I'm very certain it wasn't dust!

Although, i must admit i wouldn't know how to define a dead pixel.

All I know is that i has 3 pixels on my screen that always looked like dark specks. I first noticed them a week or so after getting my pbook.
They'd been that way for almost 3 months.

I was hoping the Pixel Check would confirm whether pixels were dead or just stuck.
The app allowed me to pinpoint the pixels.

The rubbing worked :D
What can I say?
(I'm just glad it did)

I just found one this morn'

I had a blue one in the upper right of my screen, but after coming to this forum and getting that thing that flashed the colors at the screen I decided to try it out. So I ran that and rubbed in a circular motion and sure enough, all fixed!
