Nope, not seeing the 3% discount. Only the $100 rebate.

After you "Add to cart"

See screenshot: "Instant Discount"

If you don't see it, "Proceed to checkout" and it should appear before you have to actually checkout.

2. Add a MacBook Air to your cart.
3. 3% Instant discount should be automatically applied at checkout.

Go on admit it... your just looking for an excuse 'not' to hit the CC ;):p:D

God help me when my turns up
Nah, I'd rather purchase via Apple in a tax-free state (and with qualified discounts) as I have unused Apple GCs. Since my stuff's not selling, I'll likely eat it up with the CC first. :(

When filing Virginia taxes, you have to pay taxes for any goods purchased online or in other states that have not had a VA sales tax applied. So really, there is no difference between Amazon and MacMall, only MacMall makes it easier in that they just do it for me rather than dealing with it when I file my taxes.

Of course you could not declare it, but that gets into another discussion... Other states may be different, but I suspect some of you may be in the same boat and not realize it.

They are shutting this promo down for some reason. I don't know why. If you got it, great. It may still work for now, but it's going away.

Sorry.

I understand the discount stuff but WHY is this type of advertising on a ad-free for demi's page?

If you're getting benefits from this it's wrong to advertise when Demi's pay for ad-free content.

where was it? top of the front page? if so, that was just an oversight... but even if I had thought about it I may have thought it was of enough interest to post there. but your objection has been noted :)

Its rare for new Apple products to be discounted any amount so this was a truly special deal.

huh!

Actually, Amazon overprices sometimes, the 2.8ghz imac is like $2799!!!
I don't think anyone is allowed to sell for MORE than apple stated retail, just as nobody is allowed to sell for less than retail, minus a 3% sales commission.
