I almost pulled the trigger, but I usually only use over the ear headphones on trains/airplanes. Considering I have the APP2, I figure the Solo 3 would be sufficient for my limited needs. But I refuse to buy those since they use micro-USB, and I've tried to get rid of everything in my house the uses that cable. If they'd refresh those with USB-C, I'd gladly pick them up.

I bought them and already regret it.

After a short time, the foam around your hear doesn't hold up well enough such that the inside starts to touch your ear and make it soar. You can wear them for a while, and they become uncomfortable. Other than that, they're great.
Yeeeaahh.. I bought and returned them. They weren’t nearly as comfortable as my QC45s, and didn’t offer anything else that was so compelling to make the comfort trade-off worth it.

Prefer my APM. The most satisfying Apple headset I ever bought.

Bought them and APMs at the same time and constantly switched back and forth. The Beats creaked like a 90 year old's knees, just terrible. They were quite a bit quieter at the top end and the soundstage wasn't as big. Otherwise they sounded pretty similar.

I liked the feel on the ears of the Beats better - but the pads are really soft so the driver covers rest against your ears, even after doing the 180 degree bend on the APMs. But at $350 I couldn't justify the build quality cheapness. At $250 they're probably ok but I'd absolutely get Apple Care.

I should have returned them. They would be totally fine if they didn’t my ear soar.
