Dear Tim, I find your El Capitan problematic and disappointing

I guess it's a good thing Tim Cook didn't invest any effort in responding to the OP's "drive by" rant. After 4+ months, he hasn't even come back to respond or review the responses.

For the record, I am now running the betas for 10.11.3, and still have none of the issues the OP reported.

it's endless, isn't it? people who have issues (that should be addressed), but who make 'absolute' statements, ie 'i'm having issues with (any mac os version here) which means that everyone has these issues, and it's the (any mac os version here), not my particular setup. "apple sucks, the new os is garbage, and (any mac os version here) was much better"... :rolleyes:

Word. OS X and iOS are far from perfect. But they are solid in my experience, and I am not seeing anything close to what the OP is saying... and that was 4 months ago, so a lot has changed - for the better.

Yeah - it was a joke...maybe even unrelated to the topic at hand. Actually I am quite happy in general with El Capitan. Much better then Yosemite which was a nightmare for me.

I still have an issue with my Apple Magic Mouse which does or doesn't connect at its own will to the computer....

ah got it (perhaps you needed a smilie face, or something); thought it was a bit...scary.

el capitan is (mostly) great here. no OS (and i'm in beta anyway) is perfect (except, perhaps, 10.6.8.....).
