Where will the apps be, then?

I think it'll just be pages after the home screens. And you can customize however many home screens you want.

I'd be fine with that. There should be a quick button/icon that'll take you immediately to the pages of apps, though.

Or, like I said earlier, the search function will be so much faster/easier to use, maybe no pages of apps at all. Gasp.

Still, weird moves by Google.

Been using Nova Launcher since Galaxy S2 days. Wonder what the next gen smart launchers would be like.

T-Mobile kept the App Drawer alive a little longer; the option to remove it from the GS7/GS7 Edge doesn't exist right now.

Ypu gotta be honest....

When your in a rush and you're using it one handed trying to do something quickly.

Pressing the app drawer button then scrolling down to the apps is a pain.

Imo I think this is a great idea.

Keep everything on the home screen.

Try going to maps with one hand while walking or something.

It's not needed.

I hit the drawer and search on Android and on iOS I flick right and search.

I installed a custom ROM on my Note 5 tonight that has all the Samsung/T-Mobile bloat stripped out including Samsung Pay (I have no cards that work with it anyways).

In setting up the phone after installing the ROM, it gave a choice of having the app drawer or having the first screen empty except for apps at the bottom and the rest of the apps on other home screens like the iPhone. I tried the apps on the home screen option first and immediately went and changed it to use the app drawer. I'm just so used to it now. I like just having one home screen and all the apps in a drawer.

While some people say Android is messy, ugly, and laggy, I find the irony that Android that made me both a homescreen and app minimalist thanks to the drawer. There is always a way getting them back with a launcher. I don't prefer no possible way of having a drawer like iOS. I prefer a drawer and hiding apps. I don't like seeing apps on iOS that I don't use like Newsstand and hiding them in a folder. Because a folder doesn't offer uniformity next to the other app icons...

If Google decides to remove the back button, then that would be a bigger issue on me.

How do you search? What phone ypu have? Regardless swiping down on ios and typing the app is easier.

It's still buggy on android.

This makes it a little less confusing. The techies won't like it but the casuals who just use instagram and Facebook won't care.

Stock android has search in app drawer and likewise nova and action launcher 3 support this regardless of which phone your using.
