16 of 27 days closing my move ring. I lost one day to a bad storm (most of my "move" is walking), and one day to jury duty. I can still lose two more and make it, so I should be fine.
What’s ITB?I thought this month would be a piece of cake as all I have to do is close my rings every day (my move goal is 500 but my average is close to 1000). Having ITB issues which has made even walking difficult some days. I’m still on track but not confident…
Where do you see the yearly miles?I have all three rings 16 out of 28 times, 17 if I get my stand ring (which is usually a given). I have 1 day that I can miss and still get the monthly challenge.
Goal I am really interested in (which has nothing to do with monthly challenges)?
2112 miles running / jogging this year. Just need 42 more.
I don't - I have been tracking my running miles in a spreadsheet since mid-2008.Where do you see the yearly miles?
you should be getting that out of the Health app ...I don't - I have been tracking my running miles in a spreadsheet since mid-2008.
There may be a way to see cumulative numbers for workout types, but if there is I don't know how.
Well, yes and no.you should be getting that out of the Health app ...
True, it’s “total” distance.Well, yes and no.
The Health app gives you info for workouts, but I don't see mileage (only) by workout. The closest I can find is "Walking + Running Distance", but those numbers are higher than the mileage I ran. Any other workouts would be the spin bike, but even for a day when I only did one workout (outdoor run), the total miles the Health app shows me are higher than the mileage I ran during the workout.
If there is a way that reflects just the miles I ran during a workout, then that would be good starting next year since 2022 will be the first year that I have an Apple Watch for the entire year (I bought my first one this past February).
If not, that is OK, I have been tracking my running miles manually for a long time and I don't mind.
When you click in the activity app on your running workout, I assume that shows you the distance, right? That would proof my point that the raw data is there… esp when you go back in time and check it outWell, yes and no.

Oh absolutely.I’m pretty sure the raw data is there, just need to find a way to extract it
Absolutely - distance, splits (time for each mile), average time per mile, average heart rate, active calories, total calories, elevation (love that one for the hilly runs). When you click in the activity app on your running workout, I assume that shows you the distance, right? Just googled this:Oh absolutely.
I looked at the XML export file earlier in the year. Lots of data in that file and loooots of nested tags. For now it is easier to continue to track my running mileage manually (not a whole lot of data per run, and the AW makes it pretty easy).
One of these days I may dig deeper, just haven't had the motivation to do so yet.
All we need in this extended exchange is some cat pictures... 😼Just googled this:
export workout running distance apple watch
Google yourself and take a look at the results, you might find what you’re looking for 😎

What’s ITB?
Thank you. Sounds painful. Hope it’s a short term thing.Iliotibial band syndrome - Wikipedia

I wasn't a part of your exchange, but I willingly offer a picture of my dog- Lucky. He's grown quite a bit over the last few months. All we need in this extended exchange is some cat pictures... 😼
Now that is dedication! 😁I might have a problem. My big toe nail is hanging off on two sides. Firmly attached on the third. Taped it up for now. Hopefully I can still run in the morning.
I could take a picture if you like, but trust me you might be put off your dinner! Now that is dedication! 😁
Quite all right, I have the utmost of trust in your description and do not require visual proof.I could take a picture if you like, but trust me you might be put off your dinner!
I've probably lost every single toenail at least once. Now that is dedication! 😁
Tortured for your password?I've probably lost every single toenail at least once.
