I used the 11” MK for just over 18 months. I was very use to it and I probably did have more typing errors on it compared to my wireless apple keyboard on my Mac Mini. But I never had tiring issues, or pain. The larger 12.9” MK is a treat, it like a MBA 13” or MBP 13”, less errors but I have only had it a few days and have not done extensive typing.

But no doubt I liked the 11” MK and it just felt like a smaller laptop. Like my old 11” MBA…. I am 100% MK setup, after I got the MK shortly after the 11” iPP I sent back a new MBA in the return window because it felt like I had 2 laptops.
Thanks, appreciate it!

Out of curiosity, what made you give up the iMac?

Honestly, I just couldn’t justify both, and I would have to make myself use the iMac because it was there, whereas I used the iPad multiple times a day every day. It has all the things I need in a compact, take-it-with-you package.

I think they meant using your iPhone as a hotspot (Personal Hotspot in Settings). The only drawback, besides having to bring the iPhone along, is higher battery drain on the iPhone.

Oh well that makes sense - I guess I just like the convenience of having it on both devices.

LOVING the keyboard. It came earlier, but I’m only just now getting to actually sit down and type on it. I did fine with the 11” one even though it was more compact, but this one is awesome! So far, I’m having no regrets.

I’m planning to upgrade my phone to a pro max in the fall from a regular pro (not positive on that, but considering it), so I’ll have a bit larger screen at times when I don’t want to have the bulk of an iPad.
That is what I go with. iPhone Max and 12.9 in combo gives great options. Add in the Watch so you don‘t have the need to pull out a big phone to look at notifications - perfect set up (for me). ?

One of the great things about the Pro iPads (and the new Air, I guess) is the USB-C style port means you can charge your iPhone from your iPad. So this makes tethering even more viable when out and about.

I know I’m a little late here since you already got your new iPad, but I do want to point out that using an external monitor is an option on both iPads for desk use. Yeah, Apple needs to do more to improve support for more typical monitor resolutions, but it is an option. That sort of setup does have a few advantages. Aside from the obviously larger screen (same content but easier on your eyes at least) there are also improved ergonomics as well. Like I said, just throwing this out there.

I think 11” is the perfect size in your hands. Go 12.9 if you plan to pair it with a keyboard case. So I think you’ll be happy with your combo.
