It sounds like you deleted the recovery area too. My usual approach would be to create a bootable flash installer but you'd need another Mac to do this. It's probably easier to just go into the Apple Store where they will basically do the same thing - install off an external drive.

Ok, try Shift+Option+Cmd+R (sort of Legacy Internet Recovery Mode)
If no success – you'd better look after another Mac and USB stick (to install Bootable macOS)

After that hold Option(Alt) during startup –> select stick –>you'll know the rest)

Those USB-C costs...wit's end. Maybe you'll be able to find a dongle to use with a usual USB or external HDD

You didn't try option-cmd-R. It always works because it's not dependent on the SSD. You have to hold those keys until you see the spinning globe.

I just tried this on an M1 mini and it didn't work.

I have been unable to get Option, and Command-R to work on this system. It's possible that it's due to using a non-Apple keyboard as the system seems to boot before the keyboard is recognized. I have run into to people where Option, Command-R, etc. doesn't work. My solution was to install on an external SSD and then wipe the internal SSD. But most people don't have spare external SSDs hanging around.

Option Cmd R does not work on M1 Macs. You have to press the power button and hold it down to get in recovery mode.

Okay, just tried that and it works. I didn't realize that they changed things on Apple Silicon and this is the first time that I've needed it.

Yes. I'm sorry I didn't catch that right away. I've already edited my post so it doesn't look I'm trying to correct you.

Good one, but I'm not sure if it's possible if Recovery Mode and its relation was corrupted (or seems so)
Target Disk Mode could not be even detected eventually)
Hm you could be right. I would still attempt it though because my understanding is that Apple Configurator 2 is supposed to be able to fix a device no matter how badly you screwed up the software/firmware. I think a restore actually re-flashes the firmware -- like the EFI and everything.
