Dell Home Customers:Save 35% off DELL - UltraSharp 2005FPW 20.1-inch wide aspect Flat Panel LCD Monitor sku # 320-4111, and 2405 FPW 24-inch sku # 320-4221 (affiliate only online offer)

Apparently this code will also get you 35% off the 2005FPW... but who would want that?!

(I have it, it made my powerbook screen look pathetic.. these things are crystal clear, bright and fantastic.)

I just sold my 15" PB... and this is how I'm planning on spending some of the proceeds (don't need the portability anymore really):

$779 Dell 24" Flat Panel
$679 Mac Mini (latest upgrades, may wait another week or two though just to see how things shake out with possible PB ugrades)

The rest goes into my already existing fund for building a new dual-core AMD with dual 7800GT's gaming PC.

I was tempted for a long while by the new iMacs, but I really want a separate display... and seeing as the new mini specs are on par with the 12" pb's now, I'm sure I'll be pretty happy with the performance still. :)

I keep trying to turn the brightness up on my PB because it just looks horribly dark compared to this big bright 2005FPW. :D

I've seen the benchmarks on xlr8 that show that the 1.42 mac mini performs very well compared to even some of later g4 towers. The Apple refurn store has the 1.42's with a combo drive for $449 now... I've come close many times to ordering one, and replacing my 2005FPW with a 2405FPW... but I just can't justify it right now.

I need a new personal laptop, and my AMD64 3000+ (socket 970, dual core upgradeable) really hauls.... I don't need another desktop, but the prices are fantastic and the Apple laptops right now suck a ton.

Either way, this monitor price is fabulous.

:D

I bought my 2405FPW today. $779.35 - $35 off = $744 or so :) Much better than forking out $1400 for apple's 23"

I am really happy to see this offer out there.

I am SO SPOILED using this display.

I've been trying to tell everyone that Dell could sell a 2405FPW for under $800
if you leaned on them hard enough.

Get 'em while you can.

Fantastic!

This is an awesome LCD and an even better price. I am so glad I got this monitor over the 20" ACD I bought it a the beginning of september and got it for around $830 shipped. I called them up and gave them the code for 25% of and then asked the guy if I could use the $60 off a $500+ purchase and he said sure, so you might be able to get the 2405FWP for around $720 shipped with the $60 off coupon.

Hi Ryan,

Could you tell me where you got the $60 off coupon? I've done everything but finish the check-out process to see if I can get any more discounts. Right now, I'm at $832.61 after tax. Thanks so much!

Here:
35% off 2405FWP- (WFQ9X9GW1VT?2R) expires 10/18/05 limit 5000 users
$60 off $500- (B5SM90M526JSBK) expires 10/20/05 limit 10,000 users

I would recommend just calling dell when you order and give them these 2 codes and see if they let you use them. I'm not sure if you can stack these coupons when ordering online.

I didn't get charged tax on my 2405FWP. Not sure why this guy did? Might be some states get charged and others don't.

I got one too for $850 in CA, but it's still a good deal. I wish I knew about the $60 coupon.

Got mine for $744 shipped in CT.

Used the 35% off coupon and the $35 off $300 coupon that can be found on eBay.

I think DELL charges tax where they have stores. In NY, they charged me tax.

Please Help

I ordered 2 of the Dell 2405FPW monitors online on 10/13. I had to order them seperately in order to get the 35% discount $779.35. However, they would not allow me to stack the $60 off of $500 coupon. I called Dell today to see if I could take advantage of the $60 off, and explained that some of you had been able to do this. I noted some of you said you called in you order. The Dell rep said that you can not use coupon codes over the phone, and he added that it was impossible to stack these two particular coupons together online. Could you please explain you purchase situations and maybe even the sales persons name or contact info. Also, I got charged tax in Hawaii. This whole thing kind of stinks! I have always been a Apple/Mac guy because of my profession in media, even though my brother is a senior programer for Dell, and he always tries to sway me. However, this time the price on these monitors were just to good to pass up. Apple needs to catch a hint! It's still a fantastic deal. I'm just upset because appariently I could have received an even better deal, as some of you did. Mahalo for your help and suggestions.
