Desktop Icons Are "Flat" / White...

An update...I am no home from my business travels....I ran the script and unfortunately it did not work, wishing to would have but no joy!

FYI, I just noticed something unusual on my installation of 10.10.1, when I turn off "Show Icon Preview", expecting to see the application icon, I get blank white instead, but only on iCloud files. If I move it to the desktop and save, the application icon appears, move it back to iCloud and it goes blank white again.

Yosemite is just buggy, its not you.

Edit - I tried the above experiment on a "very" stable install (all defaults) and can reproduce this bug at will. Another interesting point, if you increase the icon size to 140 or greater the application icon appears.
