thank you

Thanks to everyone on the team that make the jailbreak and this forum... I've gone from a jailbroken 1.1.1 to a 1.1.2 with all the apple apps and it kept all my music and videos and even my email settings and old notes!!!

I am amazed, even my weather locations have been carried over.

Im having the same problem have you found a way to fix this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

downloaded the opt.zip file unzipped and placed both folders (_MACOSX and opt) in the root of my hd. I also loaded openssh on my touch before trying to upgrade, don't know if that is necessary or not.

With these additional steps I have now upgraded.

I have an intel iMac

spoke too soon...

I finally got it to connect after the jailbreak, and it did it's thing. did reboot (hold down the power button slide to off)

But it did not reboot on it's own per the instructions, once it comes up it does not show the installer.

What's up now?

Looks like you did not remove the Installer packages before updating. Why is that? These packages if exists will cause problems because Installer thinks you have them after the update.

I maybe wrong so don't take my word for it. ;)

I've been trying to update to 1.1.2 with my Jailbroken 1.1.1, but everytime I try to do so, my Touch goes into Recovery Mode. I've installed OktoPrep and followed all the directions [I also have the latest Java], but I can't seem to get it to work. I am using Windows.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks

iPod Touch jailbreaking error

I have tried to jailbreak my iPod touch 1.1.2 using oktoprep and downgrading to 1.1.1, but after I downgrade and jailbreak it, I get an error from iTunes when I try to update to 1.1.2 again. It tells me it is error 1602. Any help will be appreciated.
