So my take is that with my pwned FW2.0.1..I just plug in my 3G iphone to itunes and do the normal FW upgrade to 2.0.2 from there? And when it's done it'll remain JB and I do not have to run Pwnage Tool 2.0.3 on it again?

TIA!

How I understand it any Firmware update via the iTunes (official) route will re-lock your iPhone. I would not perform the Firmware update via iTunes, unless of course you have a legitimate contract with an official iPhone carrier in your country. I don't know how this will affect official iPhones that have just been jailbroken but not unlocked.

Yes my phone is a legit unlocked iphone from my carrier...so how do I go about doing it?

Or do I even wanna do it, in anticipation of FW 2.1? Right now my phone's doing fine..just the lag..

I would hold off for now.. Pwnage Tool 2.0.3 which patches version 2.0.2 of the Firmware is not 100% success. Many folks have reported bugs. 3 main issues are to do with Mail, WiFi & Passcode Security.

If none of these affect your use of the iPhone then go ahead but I would either:

Wait for the Dev Team to iron-out the issues with their Tool and the latest firmware or:

Use their older Tool (2.0.2) and the previous firmware version (2.0.1). Which folks have reported downgrading to after having experiencing issues with the latest stuff.

Yeah..thanks for the advice...think I'll hold off upgrading for now..reports are 50/50 so i guess i'll wait a little longer since rumors of FW 2.1 are rife!Guess I'll just live with the lag for abit..

yup, nothing but trouble here. Backups not completing, not remembering WiFi passwords, etc. Restoring to vanilla 2.0.2 now.

QuickPwn is PC only tho. No good for us Mac Users.

Hard to believe there's something for the iPhone that is available for PC users but not Mac. I feel like I'm in a weird alternate universe...hey, there's Spock with a goatee!

Not surprising at all.. although an Apple Product you'll probably find its user base is predominantly PC-centric.. Most of the long haired, bespectacled, spotty nerds that live on Star Trek & Pizza are PC users and have no interest in developing anything for the Mac.
