umm, as I said in my earlier post >

Everything I've read about egpu's is that they're finicky. More importantly that's adding a bunch of bulk to an otherwise slick little Mac computer on my desk. I just want a moderately decent dgpu built in. The whole point of the Mini is to be well ... mini, right?

All I’m saying is give us an option for a built in gpu that doesnt totally suck. If they did, I’d totally be buying one.

I have no idea what reviews you have been reading, but eGPU works flawlessly with 2018 Mini. People having problems are probably trying to use NVIDIA GPU's, which is NOT natively supported. As long as you use AMD GPU's, you should have no problems.

Since High Sierra most newer AMD GPU's are natively supported by MacOX making it a simple plug-and-play.

I have AMD Radeon Nitro RX580 with Razor Chroma X enclosure with my Mini. It was a plug-and-play from day one.

Not getting into a debate about what software may or may not work with an egpu. My point is, I would buy the mini because it's - MINI! So rather than buy a big honking egpu with a wire connected across the way to the mini, I'd rather have a gpu built in that's a bit better than the UHD graphics 630. Again, not asking for anything amazing, but maybe something with the power of the 555x that's in the 2018 MacBook pros.

That 555X card is underrated… I have it in mine.
