I have a new unibody MBP, 2.4. I haven't really played many PC Games over the years, but I have recently gotten more interested into it. These two games coming from Blizzard interest me greatly though. Was wondering what you all thought the system requirements will be for these games. I would like to keep rocking the MBP for a gaming machine for awhile, and not have to give in and buy or build a PC for solely that purpose.

Blizzard generally creates games that can run on A LOT of different systems. Ranging from cheap basic computers all the way to hardcore gaming machines.
There is really no way to tell right now because they have not released much information, but going by blizzards history I think you should be fine.
Besides, the pro is pretty decent for specs. So I would be you could run them at high (or fairly high) settings.

Yeah I wish they wouldn't even announce a game till it was at most a year away. We may not see that game till late '10 for all we know.

Playing SC and D2 for over 8+ solid years, I'm a huge blizzard fan. (And that can be explained by me being a Korean
)
But one thing about blizzard is that, they make the game for everyone. Like they said in the interview for Diablo III, they'll make the game very graphically instense for people who has the hardware for; but others will still be able to turn down some graphical features yet still enjoy the game just as much, if not more
So, no WORRIES. It WILL run and it will run damn fine.

Blizzard make games that scale extremely well. For example Warcraft 3 ran on my iMac DV ver well (with graphics turned down) and this machine is below Blizzards minimum spec. I expect Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 to run on machines a couple of years old (with a little tweaking).
I Should mention Blizzard Announced when Starcraft 2 is coming out
and by the looks of the videos of starcraft 2 gameplays (go search up starcraft 2 battlereport its in hd and GREAT gameplay) it looks like it will run on the new unibody macbooks or mbps great.
Also i live in canada and its coming out on March 31st dont know for U.S :S
For people who live in canada in futureshop has it for pre order for either the starcraft 2 or Collectors edition (original game 59.99 Collectors 99.99) dont know whats included in collectors though

... They haven't even announced when they're coming out with a beta. Shops always put guessed release dates to tempt you into pre-ordering.
Personally I think release will be closer to June.
They have come out with a beta in november 14th read it up, the beta just isnt public, at The blizzard convention in November or october i forgot, they gave out Starcraft 2 Beta keys that let you try the demo out along with Epic polar mounts for WoW the Starcraft 2 Beta keys sold for about 100~150 Just to play the demo.
Uhm... source? The keys have been given out, you cannot redeem them yet.

and yes im pretty sure its coming out at march 31st because its officially been announced but i couldnt notice it, to 4 major north american retailers.
Yeah your right. Diablo's graphics may look intimidating, but its really simple. I think they're still going to use pre-rendered backgrounds and that always helps with performance.
Latest update on Starcraft 2 here, was on the 18th Dec 2008. The battle report states that Starcraft 2 is "currently in the alpha phase of development".

I participated in the WotLK beta through the key I got from the WWI. That took place in June and the beta started in late August.

SC2 will be a trilogy, so whilst the final two games/expansions will probably be released after Diablo 3, the initial game will likely come out beforehand. Blizzard is going to be testing the new Battle.net with the SC2 beta, a feature that will ship with both games.
