Did anyone attend the Apple store Seminar in Newcastle?

Just got back from a two hour seminar for the specialist position at Newcastles Apple store, i was so nervous and i think that showed when i had to introduce myslef, im normally really confident, but at times i seemed stuck for words. first we watched a video about apple which got us all geared up, then we had to introduce ourselves, followed by more video, and then quick role play exercises at the end. over all i really enjoyed it, just wish i came across more confident, most people there seemed to know everything about macs!! and then there was me who only knew the iphone, but fingers crossed i get a call back! did anyone else on here go?

I applied for the newcastle store on Thursday and got an email today inviting me to a recruitment event on the 26th of Jan. I'm so scared after reading all the things that people have been saying they had to do, like presentations i'm the shyest person in the world

How many were there in your seminar? Was it held in the actual store?

Have you herd back from them since you had yours?

I'm going to the same event and I feel a mixture of nerves and excitement. Which position are you going for?
I'm a 5ft 4 blonde girl instead of us both feeling nervous why don't we sit near each other. Have you been given a time yet, because my email just says it's on the 26th :S I hope it's in the morning so I don't have to call my current place of work to say I can't come in lol.

I'm going for specialist too, but also business partner as that's more my field I'll probably wear a blue top btw so hopefully there won't be any other blonde girls there with blue tops
I think it should be nearly done by now... but if not then it might be held like.. upstairs above another shop? I've heard that the next stage of interviews will be in a hotel though so it could just be there. I wish she would give us more details in the first email so we can plan our day around it instead of hanging on until the last minute

Lol just watch there be all blonde girls in blue tops suddenly turn up. Well i'll probably be wearing a grey All Saints jumper (I'm taking it it is casual?!)....if all else fails just look out for a camp guy . How old are you by the way? I'm 20

Yeh I really need to know what is happening because of work. Hoping she will ring tomorrow, the email did say "in the next few days".

I keep checking my emails to see if she's sent another... what's taking so long just tell me where and when it is lol

Mine is 11-1 Eeek I'm excited now... I have no idea where that place is though so Google maps will have to be my friend. The email only mentions certain roles though, it doesn't say anything about the Business Partner one or the management, so I hope I have the opportunity to go to the Business one too!

How are you guys feeling about it?

I doubt it. Either way I wouldn't worry about it.

Just ask at the hotel desk. It'll probably be in one of the conference rooms.

Don't worry guys, I'm sure you will all do fine, just remember to be honest and always look whoever is interviewing you in the eye all of the time, also relax, don't sit up tight, but don't sit and slouch either, and remember I'm coming to the store on the opening day to buy headphones, so you better give me good custom otherwise I won't be coming back to buy any laptops off you.
