I would reiterate that, after WWDC 2020 and Apple's announcement regarding ARM and custom silicon, if your current iMac is still fine, keep it. It will be worth the upgrade only when iMac will be shipped with Apple Silicon. Anything else before is only a "patch", disgusting Intel hardware while waiting for the Silicon revolution.
