4G LTE came to the iPad before the iPhone. Wasn't even a Pro model, just the regular iPad.They weren’t going to add 5G on an iPad. That’s an iPhone worthy thing to be the first apple product
The main problem with 5G in the iPad Pro was the timing. As other posters here had previously pointed out, because of the late Qualcomm agreement with Apple, they were already having issues getting the 5G chipset implemented in the iPhone in time. I was holding out small hope for 5G in the iPad Pro since it's a less restrictive product in terms of size and chipset power requirements, but no dice.
