Yeah, I just stuck it in and moved it around (I am still talking about the putty knife). It was pretty easy. Directions: http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?t=81881

Oh wait, have you seen the OWC video on upgrading the ram/hard drive, well there's a part where you take off the ribbon cable and the heat sensor on the hard drive with a nylon pry tool, is the tool needed for that part?

I didn't use a nylon pry tool, just a putty knife and a screw driver.

How did you remove the ribbon cable and the heat sensor?

Anything flat can remove them. Flat head screwdriver, etc. The sensor is just glued on so it wasn't much, scrape it off, slap it on the new one. Its very easy.

Oh blimey, I don't know if i've got the expertise to be upgrading my Mini's HDD and RAM now:(

To the OP, I got the 2.0ghz, because I couldn't justify ~£120 for 260mhz. I'd rather spend £120 on peripherals or other, more noticeable things.

I got my 2GHz Mac Mini new on Amazon.com for $586, it was on sale for about 2 weeks, I couldn't help but buy it because it is even cheaper then a base Mac Mini with the education discount on Apple.com because there is no tax on Amazon.com.

Just picked up a 2.0 today for $549, using the student discount. It was only another $79 to max out the RAM at the bookstore, so I did that as well. I love it :)
