I was able to get the space gray 512gb Max for myself and my better half the 8 256gb (what she wanted. 64gb would have been more than enough but 256 was $2 more per month) with the $700 credit (I moved her from Sprint to my Verizon plan). Both 9/21 dates.
I think a lot of people wanted that gold color since it was re-introduced this year. Which is what I ordered and got for Sep 21 delivery!
The little bezel that does show is black, so gold or silver won't matter on the sides and back. Most people use a case anyway... I agree 512 is big time overkill.
I got 2 preorders in for Gold sim free XS Max 256gb. It’s $1324 each after tax. That’s a ridiculous sum for a phone. My wife might make me return them if we aren’t impressed with the upgrade from a 6S plus.
Yes. I got iPhone Xs in gold 64GB. By the way does anyone know if you get the phone with the iPhone Upgrade Program does it come unlocked ? Because I’m planning to switch carriers in a couple weeks.
I think the speed of this iPhone and the display is going to blow you and your wife's socks off, especially compared to the iPhone 6s Plus. But you are right... that is an awful lot of money.
Yes unlocked as long as you did the Apple Upgrade Program. If you purchased from a carrier on an upgrade program it will be locked that carrier.

They were available Sept 11. Then magically on Sept 12 they disappeared. I waited a year for a price drop and got screwed.
Now I’ll be keeping my iPhone SE (with cracked screen and cracked bottom bezel held on with packing tape) as long as I can.
Screw Face ID. Screw Timmy Boy from denying me my cheap option iPhone.

Didn't use a case for iphone X. Hopefully the max won't be too big as i was able to grip the X well enough. I hate cases. The full screen effect is better without one. Apple care not needed for X but will cancel it soon enough before trade in (this is something people don't seem to remember to do). The thing that really sucks is waiting for proclip mount.

lol...if i could interest my wife in a new iphone i could sell you hers. But neither she or my daughter wants an X anything. They just roll their eyes at me as i dance around like a moron trying to show off videos of it.

I hovered over the 512GB, because, well why not. And I always recommend other people get the largest capacity they can afford.
But in the end, common sense prevailed. Since I completely embraced “the cloud” my local storage hasn’t gone above 35GB this past year with my X, so for once I decided to save some money and just get what I actually need.
