Will do but have to be later. Still setting some bits up and copying files back from external drives.

I am very interested in the fan noise on your new glorious machine.

Not had a chance to do much. But transcoded a DVD via Handbrake to the Apple 720p setting and it ran at an avg of 350fps and stayed silent.

can you run some benchmarks for userbenchamrk.com for the vega 48 to be able to compare vs the RX580?
[doublepost=1553697833][/doublepost]

That's one of the things I'm waiting on. The other the vega 48.

I'm amazed how everyone is going right of for the i9. Still wondering if it's worth the extra £360. I really wonder how apple charges you that price when the chip is only really £240 more at retail value difference.

Is there a OSX version of their benchmark tool ? Can only find an .exe ? I got the bare minimum memory and got some DIMM's from a place here in the UK saved £400.

Oh no, I'll be ordering mine in the next couple of weeks, once reviews about heat, fan noise and vega 48 performance start coming in, as my 2011 iMac is currently death. I will just get 8Gb and upgrade myself. Probably just add another 16 for a total of 24 as that saves me £100 to put towards vega/i9 and can always upgrade RAM in the future with another 32 for a total of 48

Ordered on March 27th, went from Processing to Preparing for Shipment early this afternoon (eastern time). Scheduled to arrive April 4-8.
Hope it's as early as possible. My 2012 iMac died and I've been on 12" MacBook since March 13th.

The April 2nd estimate they gave is still valid. Arrives tomorrow. It said 4/2-4/4 as the original ETA when I ordered so I can't complain. Was just hoping Apple did like they usual do and beat the time.

Mine is out for delivery now, 4/1. That beats original delivery window of 4/4-4/8. It was shipped last Monday but spent a long time in customs.

I think the first day of the range is when their best estimate of the delivery date, and the range gives them a cushion if the delivery is late. That way it's not late and customers don't have a valid complaint. And, some of this stuff is simply out of Apple's hands. If planes and trucks are stuck somewhere because of weather or something like that, deliveries can get late through no one's fault.

This is what I have so far:
In Transit 04/02/2019 10:23 A.M. Shanghai, China Export Scan
04/01/2019 1:25 P.M. The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.
04/01/2019 9:47 P.M. Shanghai, China Arrival Scan
04/01/2019 9:32 P.M. Shanghai, China Departure Scan
Shipped 04/01/2019 8:15 P.M. Shanghai, China Origin Scan
Label Created 04/01/2019 3:11 P.M. China Order Processed: Ready for UPS

I think FedEx tracking from overseas is better than UPS. No idea if Export Scan means it is on a plane, will be on a plane tomorrow, or is it sitting doing nothing in customs?

The expected delivery is Friday according to UPS.

I'm used to iPhones which are like 2 days from China. The iMac took a lot longer than I'm used to but expedited shipping wasn't an option.

So true about the iPhones. I don't remember how long it took my late 2012 iMac to make it here. FedEx tracking seems to be more detailed. I remember being able to follow the plane flight- and within minutes of it landing, the tracking had updated.

I needed one with Vesa mounting and it's going to be 4/12 delivery :(

Mine shipped but is going to be longer than told. Was to be here Apr. 2, now it's saying Apr. 8. Not sure what's going on, been in S. Korea since last Wed.

Mine shipped yesterday and is saying April 10th expected delivery (still being cleared, so hoping it doesn't get hung up). The original estimate was 4/10-4/15, so it's as good as I can expect, so far. (ordered 4/1)

Ordered my 27" BTO iMac on 3/31; initially estimated 4/11 to 4/15... However, the unit has left Shanghai and UPS should be delivering it on 4/9, so very happy customer! :)

My iMac arrived yesterday. Have to say, UPS did a nice job here. It left Shanghai at around 5:48am EDT on April 4th. Just 28 hours later, 9:49am on the 5th, it was at my front door.
It went Shanghai-Osaka-Anchorage-Louisville-Newark-and delivery in NYC.

Mine has been in Louisville since very early morning on Friday (1:44am) and is still there for now :-(

I have mine shipping to a store. How are apple estimates been? Do they ever arrive early?

Mine was due on Monday and then they said today, Friday. However my machine has gone with UPS from Shannon > Dublin > Cologne, so probably flew over my home here in the UK en route. A 'late flight' has disrupted things and it was last heard of at 5 a.m. this morning, presumably sitting on a runway or something. I suspect I'll get it on Monday as originally planned, unless someone lucky somewhere gets a surprise delivery ...

mine shipped yesterday via Fed Ex. Anyone do a pick up at fed ex instead of delivery? Easy to do? Going to have to look into it once I get home from work
