How were you able to get the black (aka starry night color) cover? On Apple’s website, all I’m seeing is the light grey version of the cover. Otterbox has the black version on their website but it’s not yet available.Yes.
better than the smart folio?
That one looks pretty nice as well. I like the pencil flap on the Otterbox - seems to give an extra layer of security for the pencil while on the go.
Curious to see a pic of this.
That one isn’t compatible with the Pencil so it’s useless and completely misleading by the pictures. They show off the original Pencil in the pictures which isn’t compatible with the new iPads, then the last picture they show the new Pencil and state you can’t charge or pair the new Pencil.
Doesn’t look like the cover sits well with the iPad. Or is this just a bad picture?
Thanks, I didn’t realize the cover was flipped around. I see it now that you pointed it out and that makes more sense. That picture shows the cover opened and flipped to the backside. The pencil flap magnetically holds the cover in place and prevents the flap from flapping loosely.![]()
I’ve heard that it’s really good!Actually, I prefer this over the Apple folio. They both cost $80, but the Otterbox case does more. I particularly like that flap that protects the Apple Pencil. As cool as the magnet system is, the pencil can still be easily knocked off and lost. So that extra bit of protection is a nice touch. The plastic back showing the Apple logo is also cool. Lastly, it protects the sides of the new iPad Pros which the Apple one doesn’t. Looks like a solid case to protect your very expensive iPad Pro.
