Hello,
I’m running a Late 08 Macbook (Polycarbonate) with Snow Leopard on it. I’ve tried so many browsers and I can’t find one with discord working perfectly, Chrome hogs RAM and doesn’t load server icons, and all mozilla based browsers are stupidly slow. I downgraded from Lion which I used Firefox Legacy on. Firefox legacy was perfect, discord worked perfectly etc. However I needed Rosetta support. Can you please help me out? I’ve even tried wine, no luck. All help is appreciated.

Cheers,
iPluto

Have you tried InterWeb? That seems to be the go-to browser on Snow Leopard, and probably has the best chance of working.

Otherwise you could use Bitlbee, although you might want to install a fresh copy from MacPorts to get an Intel native version. @wicknix, who actually uses Snow Leopard, may be able to help more.

Much as @Wowfunhappy said, try out Interweb (based on Firefox 52 ESR code) or TenFourFox for Intel (based on Firefox 45 ESR code, and security-update-maintained). We have a WikiPost with links to these and other browsers for 10.6 and up.

Also, there are some under-the-bonnet optimizations which can be applied to these Mozilla browsers which were originally found to help speed up performance on older PPC hardware. Have a look at @eyoungren ’s TenFourFox optimizations thread and also the FoxPEP enhancements thread.
