Can anyone confirm which of the following applies to display zoom mode on the XR:
A) The iPhone X scale of 375 x 812 is multiplied by x3 (iPhone X multiplier), rendered at 1125 x 2436 then down-sampled to the XR’s 828 x 1792.
B) The iPhone X scale of 375 x 812 is multiplied by x2 (iPhone XR multiplier), rendered at 750 x 1624 then up-sampled to the XR’s 828 x 1792.
The XS Max would presumably rasterise at 3x to X/XS native res 1125x2436 then up-sample. Would XR also rasterise at 3x but then down-sample to 828x1792 or instead rasterise at 2x and then up-sample?
Seeing as the XR has the same processor power seems like 3x then a downsample would be most likely but if it’s 2x rasterisation then an upscale it will be horrible.
